The Challenge
VEL was developing a new kind of technology-enabled work pod designed for locations such as airports, hotels and shopping centers.
But the product did not yet physically exist.
The company had early renderings and a vision. My job was to turn that vision into something investors could experience — not as a diagram or presentation, but as a believable glimpse of how real people might actually use it.
The Creative Idea
Rather than make a traditional explainer, I created three short narrative stories set inside a mall, a hotel lobby and an airport.
Each scenario featured different characters, dialogue and a complete story arc, using humor and human interaction to demonstrate the product naturally.
The goal was simple: show the experience instead of explaining it.
Bringing the Vision to Life
Starting with the founders’ descriptions and limited renderings, I designed entirely new environments, characters and situations around their future vision.
Approximately 50 original visual assets were developed to build the film.
The resulting piece combined storytelling, character performance and product visualization to make something that existed largely as an idea feel tangible and real.

The Outcome
The film was first presented in Dubai and became part of VEL’s investor presentations.
The founders told me that when they showed it, investors consistently finished the film smiling and laughing — exactly the reaction we wanted from a concept that could otherwise have felt technical or abstract.
VEL later raised $1.67 million on Wefunder.
